    Our First Big Trip

    Dillon and Carrie spend a week roughing it in picturesque Olympic National Park. For the first time ever, Dillon refers to Carrie as his "girlfriend" while on the phone with a customer service professional.

    While the world as we knew it came to grinding halt, Dillon and Carrie were on the trip of a lifetime hiking, camping, and snorkeling across Kauai and Maui. One morning while camping on a beach, Dillon got just enough cellphone service to check his email and find out that he'd been accepted to Duke's Master's in Economics and Computation program

    Dillon graduates from Duke University with a Masters in Economics and Computation and commits to continuing on at Duke for his PhD in Computer Science

    After an incredible meal of Portuguese tapas and vinho verde and an impromptu dance in the street to an acoustic guitarist playing and singing "What a Wonderful World", Dillon proposed along the Douro River in Porto, Portugal
